Digitalization as a priority direction of the economic development of agrarian production

The article presents the rationale for the introduction of digital technologies to create the conditions for creating a digital agricultural economy. At the same time, digitalization is considered as an integral part of the further development of the country’s agricultural production. In this regard, there are four main areas (technical and technological improvement, economic growth, improvement of environmental friendliness and human resources) in which the digitization of the agricultural economy will increase the competitiveness of the agricultural sector. The paper also reflects the factors hindering the formation of a digital economy in agriculture, which are divided into external and internal.
