Digital development of East Asia countries: cooperation and relations with Moscow

The article is devoted to the digitalization of megacities in the East Asian Region and their cooperation and interaction with Moscow. The author analyzes features of the East Asian Region, foreign trade and investment relations. The study considers the concept of smart city in the context of technology development in the major cities of East Asia. The significant benefits of such technologies for convenience and comfort, including saving time, resources and optimizing traffic schedules, are highlighted. The paper emphasizes necessity of in-depth study of opportunities and risks before active use of «smart» technologies, and the increased interest of Moscow in the concept of smart city and cooperation with foreign cities in this area. In addition, the mechanisms of the People's Republic of China, the Republic of Japan and the Republic of Korea in realizing the smart city concept are described, as well as attitudes towards the digitalization of megacities in Mongolia and North Korea. At the same time, the author describes the cooperation between Moscow and Taipei, as well as the prospects for their development.
