Digital instruments in the municipal self-government system

The article discusses issues related to the transformation of management of the municipal management system with the possibility of introducing digital tools designed to solve many issues related to monitoring and control of municipal accounting and data exchange with related bodies The national program "Digital Economy of the Russian Federation" provides for a set of systemic measures until 2024 aimed at accelerating the digital transformation of municipalities in key areas, including in the provision of municipal services, the development of information infrastructure in municipal institutions, the introduction of digital platforms for inventory, accounting and control of energy resources and property complexes of municipalities. In the coming years, the public sector must undergo radical changes to cope with demographic and financial challenges. Leveraging technology, building innovation potential, and digitalization in digital transformation projects are key factors in making the transition to sustainable development successful. The public sector has deep cultural and historical roots, it is the most difficult to change culture, which makes it difficult to successfully implement digital transformation projects. This article will present three main problems that hinder a successful transition to the digital transformation of public administration.
