Digital currencies of the central banks of the EAEU member states: concepts, financial and legal regulation, development trends

The article is aimed at researching a phenomenon that is young in legal science - the digital currency of the central bank (Central Bank or Central Bank Digital Currencies, CBDC). The author analyzes the reports and concepts of digital currencies of the EAC member countries (digital ruble, digital Belarusian ruble, digital som, digital tenge, digital dram), identifies trends in the use of CBDC and the need to transform legislation. Taking into account the doctrinal approaches existing in law and economics, the advantages and risks of using CB DC are reflected. The author comes to the conclusion that it is necessary to work out the issue of deeper economic integration of the EAEU member states, including the creation of a monetary union based on the issuance of the regional system of the EAEU.
