An endogenous circadian regulation ensures optimal functioning the body during 24-hour daily cycles. Typical for the morning hours is an increase in sympathetic tone and vasoconstriction, heart rate, blood pressure and platelet aggregability as well as decrease in thrombolytic activity and vascular endothelial function. Endogenous circadian rhythms may be the cause of the development of adverse cardiovascular events.
