A cytological study was carried out to evaluate the dynamics of reparative processes in rabbit wounds under combined therapy with the Collahit-FA dressing and ultrasound exposure, compared to traditional Levomekol ointment treatment and Collahit-FA monotherapy. The experiment involved 15 rabbits (5 animals per each group) with symmetrical 5×5 cm dorsal wounds. Imprint smears were collected over time (29 January – 10 February 2025), stained by Romanowsky–Giemsa, and evaluated for cellular composition, bacterial genus identification, and bacillary activity index. In the combined therapy group, a significant reduction in neutrophil infiltration, active macrophage response, and early appearance of fibroblasts and epithelial cells were observed by day 5. By day 10, complete epithelialization and absence of bacterial colonization were recorded. Control groups still showed signs of inflammation and bacterial contamination. The findings confirm high effectiveness of combining Collahit-FA with ultrasound in accelerating wound repair and reducing microbial load.
