Civilization as a category of postclassical political science

The modern political science undergoes a paradigm crisis. An evidence of this is the shifting of the focus of research interests from the classic category of “national state” to the concept of “civilization”. The author distinguishes some meanings of the “civilization” term: with chronological and topological connotations. The paper also describes possible models of nation’s growing into civilization: multinational and super-national civilizations.
