State of diseases of the silkworm on farms in the farms of the regions of Azerbaijan 2020-2022

To date, the need for the use of sericulture products is increasing. One of the main factors reducing the development of the silkworm, as a producer of natural silk, is infectious and invasive diseases, which significantly restrain its productivity. The article presents data on the state of farms engaged in breeding silkworm caterpillars 2020-2022, for infectious diseases. Polyhedra of the nuclear polyhedrosis virus were detected in the studied farms. The data of laboratory studies June - August 2022 are presented, polyhedrosis infection of silkworm caterpillars at the 2nd, 3rd, 4th stages of their development was revealed. Also, during the study of sick silkworm caterpillars, caterpillars with suspected pebrina disease were identified.
