Flowering of Astilbe japonica varieties in the Mari El Republic

The morphometric parameters of 7 Аstilbe japonica varieties in 2023 at the Botanical Garden-Institute of the Volga State University of Technology (Yoshkar-Ola) are given. The 'Koln' variety was characterized by the maximum height and number of peduncles, the highest preservation of plants. The 'Bronzelaub' variety had the abundant flowering also. The varieties 'Europa' and 'Montgomery' had the lowest height, weak flowering and low plant preservation. The conditions of 2022-2023 winter adversely affected the growth and development of Аstilbe japonica varieties.
