Daikon as a phytomeliorant of the soil

The article presents preliminary experimental data obtained in 2022-2023 on the assessment of daikon of the Minovase variety as a phytomeliorant of the soil for sowing spring wheat. Daikon was sown in its pure form in three terms. In autumn and spring, the amount of productive moisture was determined. More productive moisture accumulated in the autumn-winter period after the daikon sown in the second decade of June, where the largest-sized root crops were formed. After the daikon of the other two sowing periods, the moisture intake into the soil was less significant, the size of the root crops turned out to be less voluminous. The improvement of the soil water regime before sowing spring wheat was noted in plots with polyvidal forage plant communities and especially on four and three-component plots. Daikon has a number of advantages over pure steam in terms of moisture accumulation and other properties.
