Deficiencies and prospects of the environmental protection infrastructure in tourism and recreational development (the central ecological zone of the Baikal natural territory)

At present, there is a positive dynamics in the central ecological zone of the Baikal Natural Territory (CEZ BNT) in the tourism industry, where further intensive growth of tourist flows and the development of various forms of the hospitality industry are projected. The author uses the interview method and reveals the opinion of the most active part of the socium regarding problematic aspects in the sphere of organization of recreational activities in the CEZ BNT, including in the handling waste infrastructure. The author on the base of the research conducted in 2015-2018 identifies institutional and territorial deficiencies in the development of the environmental protection infrastructure (SZI) at the level of municipalities (MO) in the central ecological zone of the Baikal Natural Territory. The article analyzes an array of departmental and authorial calculations on the structure and volumes of consumer waste generation in the context of municipalities of CEZ BNT. The author assesses functioning of the SZI in the n territory to ensure the development of tourist and recreational activities. The author accomplishes mapping of the SZI of the model administrative area. A number of attractive objects for part of the investigated territory is proposed.
