Functioning of noble trusteeships in the provinces of the Middle Volga region in the second half of the 19th century

The article deals with some aspects of functioning of noble county trusteeships in the late 19 th century. The legal foundations of this estate institution, its activities and responsibilities are discussed. The author studies the peculiarities of this institutions’ functioning in some provinces of the considered region. The paper also describes the problems, which the noble trusteeships faced in the course of their activities.
