Activities of collector agencies: problems and prospects

The article is devoted to the review of the problem of increasing the volume of overdue debt in Russia due to the simplification of the procedure for issuing loans, which inevitably entails the manifestation of credit risks. A study of the activities of collection agencies in relation to debtors allows us to identify problems in this area, as well as forms of work with bad debts. The existence of “internal” and “external” collection agencies has its advantages and disadvantages. It is necessary to distinguish them from the so-called "black collectors", which, through threats, violence, damage to property or blackmail, are involved in collecting debts. Such methods of debt recovery are considered illegal and, moreover, criminally punishable.
