Activities of scientific institutions during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945)

The article examines the activities of scientific institutions during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). It reveals its problems associated with the evacuation of scientific institutions to the East, the destruction and disbandment of their units at the beginning of the war, and the decline in the scientific potential of Soviet science. Also in this article, the author reveals the activities of state bodies for the re-evacuation of scientific institutions, the restoration of their network and scientific potential within the framework of the pre-war. In addition, the article analyzes changes in the topics of scientific research, their organization and connection with practice. The influence of the activities of scientific institutions during the war years on the further development of Soviet science is substantiated.
