Functioning of the territorial self-government bodies of Don Cossacks in accordance with customary law in the second half of the XIX century

The article deals with the scientific analysis of the issues bearing a relation to customary law regulations in functioning of the territorial self-government bodies in the stanitsas and khutors of the Don Army Land in the second half of the XIX century. The above mentioned questions have never been the subject of scientific research either in historical and ethnological or historical and legal sciences.
