Activity of authorities on development of manufacture of combine harvesters in Rostov area in 1966-1975

In article on basis of published and archival documents, research literature activity of party-state bodies on development of agricultural mechanical engineering in Rostov area within 8-th and 9-th five-year periods is considered. In article decisions March and September 1965 of Plenums of Central Committee of CPSU, instruction and decision of XXIII congress of CPSU, Ministerial council of USSR, developed bases of an agrarian policy of party and state during investigated period, put before the enterprises of agricultural and tractor mechanical engineering specific targets are studied. Author in detail shines actions, spent under direction of state authorities, Rostov regional committee of CPSU and local party organizations, on leading enterprises of branch - Rostov factory of agricultural mechanical engineering (Rostselmash) and Taganrog factory of combines: development and release of new models of combine harvesters, their subsequent updating, modernization of manufacture and management, distribution of advanced methods of organization of work. Author has shown wide attraction to decision of complex industrial problems of technical and economic advice (TEA), Taganrog State special design office (TSSDO), public organizations (scientific and technical society (STS) to machine engineering industry, trade unions, Komsomol, public design offices), inventors and rationalizers, technical officers (TO), scientists, innovators of manufacture. In article high competitiveness of combines SK-4, ”Field”, “Ear”, “Don”, issued by these factories in 1960-1980, in the world market is noted. Author does conclusion about necessity of use of experience, saved up in Soviet period, during restoration of agricultural mechanical engineering, and also support from bodies of government and management of modern Russia.
