Activities of the social security department of the Tyumen provincial council of workers, peasants and red army deputies in 1919-1920

The article analyzes the structure and areas of activities of the Tyumen Provincial Department of Social Security from August, 1919 till December, 1920. The author reviews the normative regulation and the results of social assistance to citizens. On the basis of the archival records study, the paper describes the first steps of the social security bodies in the Tyumen Province and the challenges they faced at that period.
