Activity of food authorities of the Voronezh province in the days of the civil war

In the article the activity of the food authorities in the days of the Civil war on the territory of the Voronezh province is analyzed. Research is based on the archival sources: the author used reports and information materials of the state authorities, reports and reviews of the mass moods, materials of media, etc. The author demonstrates that the food policy of the central authorities in that period caused the protest among peasants. The authorities ignored opinion of the peasants, considering it a display of petty-bourgeois proprietary instincts. The author resumes, that the actions of the government, which were not accepted and approved by a society, cannot have positive results, and are doomed to a failure. Moreover, the food policy, not accepted by peasantry, played the serious role in the growth of aggression during the Civil War.
