Demarchy: Historical and Legal Aspect

The article analyzes the forms of citizen participation in public decision- making as an alternative to traditional institutions. The concept of demarchy is studied in detail from a historical and legal point of view. The article also discusses comparative aspects of the application of demarchy in a historical context and current trends in this area, with particular attention being paid to the evolution of legal mechanisms regulating demarchic processes, as well as their impact on the modern management of territorial units. The study identifies the main stages of the formation of demarchy and reveals the features of its institutionalization.
