Demographic setting and labor market in the Jewish autonomous region: interrelations and contradictions

The article describes major trends in the labor market of the Jewish autonomous region concerning the aspect of demographic processes. The population dynamics salient features, the number of employed and unemployed in the region, with provision for their age and sex, for the period of 1995-2008, have been defined and explained.
