The article analyzes demographic changes in the Russian Federation for the period 2021-2023. The relevance of the research topic is due to the fact that at the present stage of development, population growth is a priority goal. The prolonged demographic crisis, which has been observed in Russia for three decades, is characterized by an increase in mortality and a decrease in the birth rate, which leads to a decrease in the population. Spikes in mortality caused by diseases and unfavorable socio-economic conditions, especially among people of working age, exacerbate the lack of working resources and contribute to an increase in migration flows. The article presents a quantitative analysis of the main demographic indicators.
