Democratic development of society: contradictions and etatist tendencies

The article deals with democracy as a form of social development and a way of organizing society interaction with the state bodies in the sphere of management. The authors, making excursion into history, identify several stages of democratization and conclude the existence of the crisis of liberal democracy in today's world. Special attention is paid to methodological approaches to understanding modern democracy, asserting the need to develop synthetic methodology of scientific analysis of the problem under consideration. Especially the authors emphasize the objectivity of etatist tendencies in a democracy crisis. As a result, the key conclusion is the idea that etatization of social development is an important political tool for self-preservation of the society.
