The day of Russian disabled persons in Poland in the 1920-1930s

The paper discusses the financial status of the disabled emigrants in Poland; in particular, it reviews the arrangement problems of the Day of Russian Disabled Persons in Poland. The main purpose of this event was to attract the additional funding for Russian disabled emigrants. Moreover, the Day of Russian Disabled Persons had to remind both the emigrants and the citizens of recipient countries of precarious financial and legal situation of emigrants with disabilities. The Day of Russian Disabled Persons was of great importance for disabled emigrants as well as for emigrants as a whole until the beginning of the Second World War. The study is based on the documents from the Prague Archive which is kept in the State Archive of the Russian Federation.
