The paper touches upon the results of dendrochronological dating obtained by analyzing 820 wood samples of coniferous tree wood originating in the Vologda occupation layer. As a result, the time of construction of a number of objects was established. The Church of Ascension of the Lord on Izvest' was built no earlier than 1698. Two tiers of log pavement from the dig in the Kremlin square excavated in 2006 were constructed from recycled wood cut down in the late 40s and late 90s of the 17th century. The barn from excavation trench No. 22 was dated back to the end of the 90s of the 15th century, while four lines of the manor fencing date from the early 15th century. The analysis of the dendrochronological distribution of a series of 60 multiyear sample assemblages from the Vologda occupation layer used as a basis for creating a single dendrochronological scale provides an opportunity to identify gaps in the thirteenth and 16th centuries that are poorly represented by materials. To fill such gaps, it is necessary to use new materials from the second half of the 13th - first half of the 14th centuries and the turn of the 17th century.
