The paper provides a systematic examination of the problem of dysfunction of a social institution in the context of the institutional functionality of the social system in general. The author studies the family institution as an example of dysfunction of a particular social institution. The paper describes in general the family institution and its dysfunctions, and examines the impact of the family dysfunction on the system conflicts of the state system.
