Introduction. In this article, the author explores the factors that contribute to juvenile delinquency. The focus is on the individual characteristics of those engaging in delinquent behaviour. The author highlights the significant role of the environment and society in shaping the behaviour of minors. Living conditions, upbringing, socio-economic factors, lack of positive role models, influence of peers and lack of influence from the state, as well as the nature and upbringing conditions within the family, all contribute to delinquent behaviours among minors. To address this issue effectively, it is essential to carefully examine these factors.
