"Three parents babies" as the object of study of bioethics

The article is devoted to modern developments of mitochondrial replacement therapy, the history of this technique and the difficulties of its implementation. The authors consider the ethical aspects of the problem of «designer» children, «three parents» babies. The article analyzes the reasons for the critical attitude to experiments with genetic editing of human embryos.
