Orphans and children left without parental care are victims of modern crime: statistics-victimological aspect (2014-2018)

This study was conducted on the basis of official statistical data of the Federal State Institution “GIAC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia”, presented for 2014-2018 in Russian Federation The dynamics of the number of orphans and children left without parental care in Russia for the period from 2014 to 2018 is analyzed. At the same time, data on orphan victims transferred for adoption or guardianship, and on victims of orphanages and boarding schools were studied separately. The consequences of crime for orphans and children left without parental care are analyzed. The trend of the number of victims of this category for certain types of crimes for the specified period is considered. The chronological framework is due to the lack of data for a later period to date.
