Devaluation of an opponent's argumentation by means of ad hominem sophistry (on the example of R. Limbaugh's radioprograms)

The article analyzes two points of view dealing with the phenomenon of persuasion; the formal logic is being contrasted with the speech activity perpetrated in natural speech contexts. On the example of radioprograms of American political commentator Rush Limbaugh the author studies specific features of ad hominem sophistry and singles out its constituting tactics.
