The diagnostic potentials of multi-layered spiral computer-assisted tomography (MLSCT) for posttraumatic contractures of the elbow

The experience of MLSCT examination (multi-layered spiral computer-assisted tomography) of 10 patients with posttraumatic contractures of the elbow is presented. The technique of MLSCT examination of bone changes for the elbow contractures in case of multiplanar projections is given, the pathological changes, which occur in various structures of the elbow bones, are described. The advantages of MLSCT experience are noted: high information comprehension and accuracy, non-invasiveness, the possibility of re-examination in the process of treatment.
