Heart failure (HF) is a pathophysiological syndrome in which, as a result of a disease of the circulatory system, there is a decrease in pumping function, which leads to an imbalance between the hemodynamic needs of the body and the capabilities of the heart. HF develops, as a rule, due to a significant violation of the contractile function of the myocardium, the heart cannot perform its main function - pumping. This syndrome occurs in many diseases that directly or indirectly affect the heart.
