Diagnosis of friction couples in technical facilities

The paper gives a description of the installation for diagnosing friction pairs in technical equipment. The technique for performing experiments is given. The characteristics that can be found using the diagnostic method are determined. The results of the study of acoustic signals of friction pairs are presented. It has been established that the method makes it possible to eliminate the signals of technological noises that are not related to the functioning of friction pairs, as well as to determine the signals of the most relevant friction pair by installing sensors in close proximity to the area of interest. In particular, the installation of equipment is not complicated and automatic control of the diagnostic process is possible. Thus, at present, this method is a fairly acceptable means of determining frictional processes. The research is based on the study and analysis of materials published in open information sources.
