The author has diagnosed the condition of school practice of forming high school students' attitude to work as a moral value, which is the first step in the experimental work. The basic results of this diagnosing experiment are described in three areas: orientation of a methodological complex in the humanities aimed at the formation of high school students' attitude to work as a moral value; implementation of the capabilities of the humanities in a pedagogical process; the place of such a moral value as «work» in the system of value priorities of students of high schools.
