A diachronic approach to the study of electronic dictionaries

In the article are analyzed the evolution and development of electronic dictionaries, from the early days of computer-assisted dictionary creation to current trends in electronic lexicography. While digital resources offer convenience and functionality, the authors highlight their limitations, such as unreliability and a lack of historical context for language usage. This contradiction between the benefits and drawbacks of these resources is explored through a diachronic approach, which allows for a deeper understanding of changes in lexicography and language use over time.
