Diaconia for people with gambling disorder: main objectives, stages and methods

The help to compulsive gamblers is one of the new directions in the social rehabilitation of people with addictive behaviour and, at the same time, one of the most complicated. Children and young people increasingly prefer computer technologies and gambling to traditional entertainment. The article shows the estimation of this choice by the Orthodox Church that has been developing techniques and methods of work with people with addictions, including gambling disorder, in the last decade. The authors discuss the main objectives, stages and methods of Christian service to people with gambling disorder.
