The article considers the morphemic structure of Russian dialect verbs denoting animal and bird sounds. The research is based on the material of the "Lexical Atlas of Russian Folk Dialects". The author analyzes dialect affixal paradigms (the term introduced by E. N. Shabrova (Il'ina)), which are groups of lexemes having the same affix or affixes. The verbs under study can be divided into 10 groups: verbs with the suffix -(к)а- (-(k)a-), verbs with the suffix -a- (-a-), verbs with the suffixes -от-а- (-ot-a-) // -ет-а- (-et-a-), verbs with the suffix -ова- (-ova-), verbs with the suffixes -ч-и- (-ch-i-), verbs with the suffix -и- (-i-), verbs with the suffixes -кт-а- (-kt-a-) // -хт-а- (-kht-a-), verbs with the suffix -(ч)а- (-(ch)a-), verbs with the suffix -анда- // -ында- // -айда- // -анди- (-anda- // -ynda- // -ayda- // -andi-). In all synonymic rows there are verbs with the suffixes -(к)а- (-(ka)-) and -a- (-a-). The verbs from other affixal paradigms belong to a smaller number of rows. In some cases affixal morphemes in verbs denoting animal and bird sounds have phonemic variants. The morphemic status of several segments in the verbs under study is controversial (-к-, -ч-, -от- (-k-, -ch-, -ot-), etc.).
