The article analyzes the dialogue between the Chinese and European chamber ensembles. The productive interest of Chinese composers in the chamber genre arose at key moments in the development of new national music. The result of the appeal to the chamber genre was the expansion of the themes and expressive spectrum of Chinese chamber and instrumental ensembles. The genre turned out to be at the stage of a creative search focused on comprehending the depths of national culture. The foundation of the stylistic system of the Chinese chamber ensemble is the enrichment of the resources of the musical language, developed in the process of the development of European culture, by national means. Modern Chinese composers use established forms and European principles of organizing musical material, but they approach the reflection of the folk foundations of music in a different way. The composers see ways to update chamber music through the fusion of different cultures with a gradual change in the relationship between complexity and technology towards increasing contrast, emotional fullness, diversity and playing techniques. They believe that Chinese culture can absorb Western culture, adhering to its own civilization, and provides a basis for innovation. Chinese musical art, meeting with chamber music, gives a new dimension to the vibrant soundscape, innovatively participating in the dialogue between civilizations through musical notes.
