Dialogic in P. N. Fomenko’s plays

Бесплатный доступ

The paper focuses on dialogic constructions in P.N. Fomenko’s theatrical productions. The central structures are typologically classified and analysed in accordance to their functions. Thus, the poetics of the plays may be summarised by the following characteristic features: Fomenko tends, first, to fragment the story of the plays, in order to establish a dialogue between the independent entities of the plot. Secondly, he extends dialogue, by means of metalepsis, on additional levels beyond the main plot and thereby facilitates the spectator’s identification with the scene. Fomenko’s plays are, thirdly, indicated to be a dialogic project of the whole troupe, in which aesthetic principles and moral efforts concerning human relations meet.
