Differenciation and integration of sociolects: to the problem of social factors interaction

Бесплатный доступ

The problems of social factors interaction in the process of general sociolect forming are discussed on the material of the phonetic level, as well as the relationships between the particular and general sociolects. The analysis of persons' speech with different social parameters demonstrates that the processes of social factors interaction are complex. While the grades of the social factors affect in the same direction, they form a general sociolect in one case and they don't in the other. The social factors interaction is caused not merely by different types of influence of these factors, but it also depends on the orientation of different social groups on different linguistic and social norms. The collision between different people preferences and mindset may cause a situation when co-operative influence of significant social factors reduces the influence of each other on speech, whereas co-operative influence of insignificant social factors intensifies this influence. The data of survey allows to raise a question what processes are more actual in the language reality - the processes of integration of factors that lead to the generalization of the sociolect on the basis of the particular ones, or the processes of factor differentiation that lead to the isolation of the particular sociolects from the general ones.
