The present paper describes a petrological-geochemical model of migration in the Harz mountains. The tolaidic magmatic core changed direction from southeast to northwest which led to stepwise alteration of the melting. Reasons for chemical alteration are progressing palingenesis, magmatic displacement and metasomatosis.
