Dynamic processes in the electoral behavior of Cherepovets voters at the elections of 2011-2018

The paper analyzes changes in the electoral behavior of the residents of the city of Cherepovets in 2011-2018 based on the data of a number of sociological studies. It identifies the factors and causes that influence the formation of voters’ preferences and decisions during elections at different levels. The author believes that studying transformations that occur in the electoral behavior of voters is a very important research objective, as activeness or inactiveness of voters to a large extent determines public sentiment and ultimately reflects on the socio-economic development of the region. Voters’ activeness or inactivity shapes attitudes in society and affects the socio-economic development of the region. To conduct this study, comparative historical, quantitative and qualitative, as well as socio-psychological and communicative approaches were applied. In conclusion, the author proposes the measures that could increase voter interest in election.
