The article describes the means and organizational techniques to increase the motor activity of schoolchildren in the process of physical education in gyms with a small area. The features of the impact of step-load on the body of schoolchildren on the reaction of the cardiovascular system (heart rate dynamics). It is noted that students with different levels of physical fitness perform step-load without taking into account their level of preparedness. The use of indicators of operational control allows to optimize the individual size of the training load of students depending on the level of physical fitness and increases motor activity in the process of practical exercises in physical education that are held in gyms with a small area.
