The results of anti-corruption activity, receive a special urgency after the analysis of performance indicators of prosecution agencies and the Investigative Committee of RF, for them this area is a priority. Based on the fact that Russia's participation in the ratified UN Conventions against Corruption and the Criminal Law Convention on Corruption of the Council of Europe requires the creation of not only necessary legal, but also organizational prerequisites, back in August 2006, the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Yu.Ya. Chaika approved the anti-corruption strategy for prosecution agencies. According to it, prosecutors are focused not only on the control over the exercise of state and municipal service laws, but also on the detection of corruption, as well as their causes and conditions.
