The basis of criminological characteristics of corruption-related criminality is usually criminal statistics of its qualitative and quantitative properties. In practice, the most commonly used statistics are statistical reports on criminality; cards on the committed crime, on the crime committer, on the accused, the defendant; results of generalization of criminal cases and materials on crimes; data of socio-economic, socio-demographic and other statistics; results of criminological researches and study of public opinion on crime; information on various types of offenses. These sources of original criminological information serve as a starting point for exploring corruption-related criminality and knowledge of its essential characteristics
