Dynamics of landscape diversity in the Small Khingan mountains

The results of landscape diversity assessment in the Russian part of Small Khingan Mountains, with using of remote sensing data are presented in the paper. The dynamics trends in different categories of landscapes have been identified. It is observed a simplification of the landscape pattern in the studied geographical province, an increase of contrast in the direction of different landscapes succession processes; deforestation, and expansion of the area under larch forests.
