Dynamics of plasma antioxidant activity indexes in physiological and complicated first trimester of pregnancy

The article decribes the dynamics of ceruloplasmin concentrations and total antioxidant activity of blood plasma in the first trimester of pregnancy in case of physiological gestation course and gestation course complicated by threatened miscarriage. It has been established that after pregnancy incoming the parameters of blood antioxidant activity increase on 62 - 81% as compared to non-pregnant women. Threatened miscarriage is characterized by decline of ceruloplasmin levels and total antioxidant activity of blood plasma.
