The dynamics of spatial inequality in the context of agglomeration processes intensification

The article deals with the inter-regional inequality dynamics in Russia and its federal districts during the period of 1994-2014 amid increasing agglomeration processes. The author assesses the impact of the factors that characterize the processes of urbanization and concentration in the Russian regions on inter-regional disparities. It is concluded that the proceeding territorial concentration of economic activity will strengthen the spatial inequality.
