Dynamics of the development of multicultural education in the North Caucasus region

The dynamics and specifics of the formation and development of multicultural education in the North Caucasus region are considered in this article. It has been made on the basis of a retrospective and comparative analysis. Also the trends of the development of intercultural relations and contacts during the settlement of interethnic relations which are established on the basis of folk traditions have been revealed. The primacy of the influence of Arab and Russian cultures, the creation of a unified system of Soviet education, scientific research in the field of intercultural communications and the current state of the development of multicultural education on the basis of a dialogue of cultural differences is shown too. We established an analogy of multicultural education with the intercultural communication, the international education, the comprehensive personality education, the gender dialogue and polylingual education. The multicultural education is a specific pedagogical process which requires a basic cultural identity and is aimed at adapting of the character and behavior of the individual in a multicultural social environment. We proposed a concept for the development of multicultural education, whose structure includes: the formation of identity with its basic culture, the acquaintance with the values of other cultures, the adaptation in a multicultural social environment, the selfactualization by the creation of new elements of subject culture in real life and in conditions of intercultural communication. As a generalization, it is also proposed the results of a study of the problem of the development of multicultural education in an interactive environment, a dialogue of the internal culture of youth with cultural differences.
