Dynamics of presentation and main tendencies of scientific theses on the Cossacks phenomenon during the first decade of the XXI century

The article presents the main results of the historiographic study of scientific theses presented in Russia during the first decade of the XXI century on the subjects of the Cossacks. We consider the direction of the study subjects and topical issues of contemporary national historiography of the Cossacks. The main statistical indicators reflecting quantitative increase in the number of the theses on the history of the Cossacks and other humanitarian disciplines. The conclusion about the progressive increase in the number of recent studies of the phenomenon of the Cossacks in the past two decades has been drawn.
