Diplomacy of regions: experience and perspectives

The Murmanks Region as region taking active part in transfrontier cooperation and promoting interests of Russia's external policy in the north of Europe is considered in the article. Difficulties which the Region faces as well as factors influencing the formation of international image of the Russian Federation constituent entity in the future are highlighted.
